UIL at ACSP2025 !

Proud to share that the UIL participated in ACSP 2025 this year.

Our members KIJIN SEONG, Ahyoung Chang, and Connor Phillips represented the lab and showcased our ongoing research on AI, planning, and urban resilience. It was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with amazing UIL alumni and colleagues from across the planning community.

[UIL Presentation Highlights]

- Uneven Burdens of Heat: Health Disparities and Planning Implications Across Urban and Rural Texas (from Kijin)
- AI-Driven Quality of Place: Consistency Between Planning Theories and Real-World Experiences (from Ahyoung)
- Fine-tuning LLMs for Online Planning Participation Facilitation (from Connor)

Connor also had the opportunity to speak at the AI Workshop, discussing emerging issues and opportunities surrounding Urban AI.

It’s always inspiring to see how our lab continues to evolve at the intersection of cities, data, and AI, and to be part of a community that pushes urban innovation forward. Looking forward to the research and collaborations ahead!
